In addition to his work with Empowered Divorce, Francisco Laguna leads TransLegal, LLC, an Alexandria, Virginia, company that provides international business consulting services for companies seeking to develop ventures outside their home countries. In this capacity, Francisco Laguna has developed business solutions in nations such as Colombia, Brazil and Qatar.

Prior to launching Empowered Divorce and TransLegal, Francisco Lagunaworked as a lawyer for the firms Kaplan, Russi & Vecchi, specializing in international law. Francisco Laguna also directed public relations, translation, and legislative research services for the National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade in Tucson, Arizona.

A dynamic and gifted speaker, Francisco Laguna lectures at conferences and seminars. His diverse speeches include "Alternatives to Adversarial Legalism in Family Court," presented to the New York State Political Science Association's 62nd Annual Conference in Albany, New York, and "Mastering Government Procurement Systems in the United States," which he presented to the Embassy of Chile in Washington, D.C.
